Richard Crookes Constructions Careers Seminar
On Thursday the 9th of September, BEA had their very first Construction Careers Seminar that was kindly hosted by Richard Crookes Constructions. Our panel of industry professionals from Richard Crookes Constructions consisted of Samantha Kuiper - Head of design, Brendan Peera - Senior Project Manager, Dean James - Digital Design Manager, Andrew Bomardiere - Safety Change Manager and Leasa Hunt - Talent Acquisition Lead. Our panel shared their journeys into their respective roles and highlighted the responsibilities that come with them. This showcased the pathways and opportunities that are available to aspiring students wanting a career in the construction industry.
If you are a Built Environment student curious about different roles or are undecided on what career suits you best, take a look at our Construction Careers Seminar. Watch it back now!

Reviews from attendees
“I wanted to thank the team for taking out their busy days to provide us University students with an insight into their company. I was really impressed with the structure of the cadet program and the exposure which you gain through all the rotations completing tasks on and off site. It was also interesting to listen to all the team talk about their individual stories and responsibilities in their roles. One thing which stood out to myself was the elective rotation as it gives the cadets an option to test new waters in a new area of their choice, of which this rotation could expose someone to something that they love and chose to follow their career in.”
“Seminar was very very beneficial, well organised and provided a very good opportunity to learn about the business, their employees and their Cadetship program. The questions and Answer at the end was amazing because we got to ask questions we wouldn’t normally be able to ask.
Thanks again for this opportunity BEA.”
“The RCC seminar was a unique and amazing opportunity for students like me who have very little experience within the construction industry to discover various fields of work and opportunities that are beyond my studies from talented professionals .”
