“It was a great feedback session that gave me a lot to think about and made me wanting to sit down properly and follow the help that was given to me. I am very thankful for the amount of time and effort that Stephanie put into this even though I have only been a member of the association in the background as well as only being part of it for a short amount of time. Very well done! Thank you!”
— Sandy Dang, BEA Resume Review Workshop
“Stephanie was very well organised and thorough with my resume. She annotated on it to make it clear what needed improving and explained solutions in all areas. This workshop was extremely valuable in helping me reflect who I am through my resume and I would definitely be apart of workshops like this in the future.”
— Rahul Desai, BEA Resume Review Workshop
“The RCC seminar was a unique and amazing opportunity for students like me who have very little experience within the construction industry to discover various fields of work and opportunities that are beyond my studies from talented professionals .”
— Gi-Young Liwanag, RCC Construction Careers Seminar
“Seminar was very very beneficial, well organised and provided a very good opportunity to learn about the business, their employees and their Cadetship program. The questions and answer at the end was amazing because we got to ask questions we wouldn’t normally be able to ask.
Thanks again for this opportunity BEA.”
— Beyzad Fayaz, RCC Construction Careers Seminar
“I wanted to thank the team for taking out their busy days to provide us University students with an insight into their company. I was really impressed with the structure of the cadet program and the exposure which you gain through all the rotations completing tasks on and off site. It was also interesting to listen to all the team talk about their individual stories and responsibilities in their roles. One thing which stood out to myself was the elective rotation as it gives the cadets an option to test new waters in a new area of their choice, of which this rotation could expose someone to something that they love and chose to follow their career in.”
— William Thompson, RCC Construction Careers Seminar
“This tour led by Adam, Glenn and the cadets was by far one of the best experiences. They taught us the importance of critical thinking and gave us immense advice for the future”
— Mikayla Sfeir, Taylor Bowden Brae Site Tour
“The site tour lead by Glenn Harris and Adam Delpopolo was, for someone like myself who has never visited a construction site, the best experience I have gotten by far. They fed us endless amounts of knowledge and openly answered any questions we threw at them. We didn’t only walk around the site, they sat us down prior to the tour and provided an explanation of the process and constraints of the project and how they worked around it, allowing us to grasp the situation at hand. The tour exposes you to something that studying and attending university will never and I could not stress enough how beneficial this experience is.”
— Kathy Xu, Taylor Bowden Brae Site Tour
“The experience was definitely worthwhile as I learnt information about the industry that is normally not taught in university. For example , the most valuable thing I learnt was how a large construction company is structured and the possible job pathways to become a project manager.”
— Jayden Raber, Win a Coffee Catchup with Leading Professionals BEA Raffle
“Very beneficial to be exposed to someone in such an important and influential role! He shared his thoughts on seizing opportunities, more specifically saying yes to opportunities so that you will always be considered for any future opportunities that come! He expressed the importance for industry professionals to take part in these similar typed meetings to pass on their wisdom to the emerging generation.”
— James Golder, Win a Coffee Catchup with Leading Professionals BEA Raffle
“A really great discussion with differing attitudes towards approaching construction situations and developing connections – the importance of relationships. Chris touched on the methods which he finds important in negotiation. Chris brought his insight on the Opal Towers situation, where he was employed by Icon at the time and this was a very interesting topic to me.”
- Leon Kamel, Win a Coffee Catchup with Leading Professionals BEA Raffle
“Taylor’s project management team showed strong professionalism and high level of engagement even before we entered the site. Both the management team and cadets made sure our safety was their main priority during the entire site tour while we were able to gain first hand experience and educational knowledge.”
— Site Tour Attendee, Taylor Bowden Brae Site Tour
